If you are a Early Canadiana Online subscriber, we identify and log the subscription under which you are using ECO. For personal subscriptions, this means we can identify you personally, but if you are using an institutional subscription (for example, at a university) we only identify you as being a user from that institution.
We do not use this data in a way which attempts to identify you personally, except when providing technical support and diagnosing technical problems. Where we do discover your personal identity as a result of performing these functions, we do not keep permanent records linking your identity to a particular set of transactions.
We provide subscribing institutions with aggregate anonymous usage metrics, but we do not provide any information about specific sessions or any information which can be linked back to any particular individual or computer.
