Report of Committee of House of Commons, 1828

Document Summary:
This report examines the state of government in Upper and Lower Canada. The committee examined grievances of the inhabitants and made recommendations for changes in law (especially property laws). The report also:

  • Makes comments on the practice of granting large areas of land to officials in government.
