This document gives the Dominions equal status with Britain. The
United Kingdom, the Dominion of Canada, the Commonwealth of Australia,
the Dominion of New Zealand, the Union of South Africa, the Irish
Free State, and Newfoundland sign it. Some important sections:
- Section 2: Repeals the Colonial Laws Validity Act, 1865:
British parliament can no longer nullify laws in the Dominions.
- Section 3: Dominions can make their own extra-territorial
laws.
- Section 4: British laws no longer apply to Dominions.
- Section 11: The term "colony" no longer to apply
to Dominions.
